Premiere Fund and Accelerator producers
If you are a producer who has received co-financing through the MIFF Premiere Fund, you will be contacted shortly by 37South2008 staff to discuss your preferential selection to 37South2008. Such preferential selection may occur in one of two ways:
- Your Premiere Fund co-financed film requires world sales and/or local distribution, in which case you will receive preferential consideration for a 37South: Breakthrough Screenings slot and the accompanying registration.
- You have another market-ready script, in which case your project will receive preferential consideration for a 37 South: Bridging the Gap producer slot. (Note: these specially-reserved Premiere Fund producer slots are over and above the 40 core producer slots discussed above).
If you are a producer of an Accelerator 2007 or 2008 short film who has a feature script in advanced development with the same director and you do not believe that your project market-ready enough to apply for 37 South: Bridging the Gap, you may wish to apply to be the one producer who will be selected to participate in 37South2008 under the new 37 South: Accelerator Producer Express program. Deadline for entry is 13 June 2008 (after the selection of short films for MIFF). If you think this might be program for you, click 37SacceleratorPRODexpress2008.doc (doc file, 86kb) to read more.
