The Bank Job
Director:
Roger Donaldson
Cast:
Jason Statham, Saffron Burrows, Stephen Campbell Moore, Daniel Mays

THE BANK JOB is based on the true story of the 1971 Baker Street bank robbery that was never properly told – the result of a Government ‘D’ Notice, gagging the press.

Martine (Saffron Burrows) offered Terry (Jason Statham) a lead on a foolproof bank hit on London’s Baker Street. The thieves tunnelled into the vault of a bank and looted safe deposit boxes of cash and jewellery worth over three million pounds. None of it was recovered. Nobody was ever arrested. The robbery made headlines for a few days and then disappeared.

THE BANK JOB reveals what was hidden for the first time. The story involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with links to the Royal Family - a story in which the thieves were the most innocent people involved.

Running Time: 111 mins (TBC), Distributor: Paramount Pictures, Rating: TBA, Only at the movies from July 31
