Travelling Film Festival goes to Belgrave

MIFF is going back to where it started 57 years ago for a 3 day special event.

While it takes over Melbourne's CBD, MIFF will also hit the road to visit Belgrave's Cameo from August 1 to August 3. The Travelling Film Festival Belgrave will feature some MIFF 2008 highlights, surprises, special guests and more.

Come along to Belgrave and get a chance to see some films that you might never see anywhere else.

Triple R MIFF Preview

This Thursday 24th July, at 7pm Triple R will preview MIFF08.

Join Triple R's own Film Buff Paul Harris and regular film reviewer Simone Ubaldi as they take a look inside this two week celluloid extravaganza.

Special guests will include opening night film director Mark Hartley who has also programmed MIFF's Ozploitation program.

You'll hear from Festival insiders and Triple R's own cinema gurus as Triple R gives you the skinny on MIFF 2008. Thursday 24th July from 7pm on 102.7 FM.

Charity Screening

MIFF’s Charity Partner, the Melbourne Citymission, have an annual Homeless Campaign to raise money for the 23,000 Victorians who are homeless each night.

MIFF, with the help of the Rooftop Cinema & Rialto Films, are doing their bit to raise some money and awareness, with a special outdoor Festival screening of the Rialto Film, ‘YOUNG @ HEART’ at the Rooftop Cinema. Come snuggle up under a blanket, under the stars! Enjoy a treat from the Rooftop BBQ, mulled wine or a hot chocolate and let that warm fuzzy feeling of doing something good keep the winter chills away!

Ticket & blanket hire proceeds will go straight to the Melbourne Citymission's 2008 Homelessness Campaign.

MIFF Footy Shorts

Get in quick as seats are selling fast to this event! Not only do you get the screening with the price of your admission ticket BUT the Australian Football League would like to invite each person attending the session to pre-screening drinks! Entry is upon presentation of a MIFF Footy Shorts ticket.

Time: 6pm to 6.45pm

Where: ACMI Function Room. Ground floor, enter of Flinders Street.
Dress: Neat casual, denim permitted
Drinks and canapés served

MIFF Footy Shorts screening commences 7pm sharp. FURTHER INFORMATION.

PLEASE NOTE: The OFLC have provided certification for this event (on 21/7/08) and children under the age of 15 can now be admitted to the MIFF Footy Shorts screening but MUST be accompanied by an adult.
