The mornings are early and the nights are late in Cannes. In between one can expect lots of queuing and jostling, darting from one end of the Croisette to the other and some very diverse and usually very interesting films in between. It’s exhilarating to be surrounded by such fervour and passion for cinema, even if it’s the locals wanting to see a Hollywood celebrity.

Only one week until the 61st Cannes Film Festival opens and we are busy planning our screening schedules, the organising question being not “what to see?” but “what not to see?”.
