Program in Focus
Films centering on the lives and issues faced by women was a central theme of the 1976 program, and six feature films on the subject were screened. Sociopolitical themes were also at the program's core, with five features and five feature-length documentaries programmed. Notable films included Seven Beauties (Wertmuller), The Contest (Rosi), The Travelling Players (Angelopoulos), Land of Promise (Wajda).
